With the journey toward a new concept underway, we began by focusing on Boels’ core values: order, flexibility, seamlessness, partnership, and pride.
Staying true to these values is essential for creating a concept that aligns with Boels’ identity. Once the core values were defined, we carefully selected materials and colors that complement this identity.
For our concept, we divided the store into two distinct areas. One side, themed “Intensive Labour,” features counters for pick-ups and returns, catering to customers who want to get in and out of the store quickly.
The other side, themed “Excellent Craftsmanship,” focuses on service, addressing the needs of customers who require more assistance with their projects. This area aligns with Boels’ mission to share its knowledge.
To highlight the different areas within the store, we used a variety of materials. “Intensive Labor” features materials like perforated steel and darker colors, while “Excellent Craftsmanship” incorporates warmer tones and materials such as wood to create a homely feel and make customers feel welcome.
